Touch is not a transaction. It is a language.
A consent-centered, trauma-informed platform for safe, non-sexual, platonic physical connection between consenting adults. Litmo is an attempt to build the social infrastructure that safe platonic touch has always lacked.
Litmo is not trying to optimize touch. It is trying to protect it.
Loneliness does not live only in the mind. It also lives in the body. Adults can need safe, affirming physical contact and still have almost no shared language for asking for it without implying sex or romance. Where no shared grammar exists, people rely on assumption. Assumption is where confusion, coercion, shame, and harm begin.
What it is — and is not
The project
Litmo is consent-centered infrastructure for making consent visible before, during, and after a platonic touch session. A structured way for adults to describe what safe touch means to them, discover compatible boundaries, confirm consent explicitly, and stop immediately without explanation.
The limits
Litmo is not a dating app, therapy service, medical device, or substitute for emergency or clinical care. It cannot guarantee safety. Advanced private-beta foundation. Not production-ready. Do not use the current build to arrange real-world sessions with strangers.

A grammar for touch.
Like any language, touch has pressure, duration, location, environment, intention — and the ability to stop. Litmo makes that grammar explicit.

Consent Snapshot
Both people review and affirm the exact intersection of their current boundaries. Nothing is inferred from a match, prior interaction, profile, or trust history.

Soft Signal
End a session immediately. No explanation required. No social negotiation. No penalty for stopping.

Trust Ledger
Support gradual accountability through affirmed session history without ever certifying that a person is universally safe.
Product invariants
Safety logic is product logic.
Consent cannot live only in disclaimers. It must shape data models, state transitions, permissions, matching, session activation, exits, and moderation.
Consent is specific
A profile, match, prior session, or trust signal never counts as consent. Every session requires a fresh, mutual agreement.
Stopping is immediate
The Soft Signal ends a session without requiring an explanation, negotiation, or socially acceptable excuse.
Compatibility is not safety
Litmo can explain where preferences overlap. It cannot certify another person as safe, trustworthy, or emotionally beneficial.
The stricter boundary wins
When two people differ on pressure, duration, body zones, or setting, the more restrictive preference governs the session.

A complete tap-through prototype and backend-free demo mode already run on a physical iPhone. Some discovery content remains synthetic while moderation, reporting, accessibility validation, and invite-only beta operations are still being built. The goal is an honest artifact — not a pretend production release.
Continuity
Litmo is designed so the repository can outlive its founder, its first coding agent, and the company that provided that agent.
The founding thesis, constitution, roadmap, architecture decisions, consent model, and implementation instructions live with the code. A future human or a different model should be able to understand the project without access to private conversations.
